Steps to Getting One of Our Kittens

Fill out our kitten application so we can learn about you and your home. We review all applications carefully.

2. Video Chat
We conduct video chats with potential families to ensure a good fit. All families must be approved before deposits.

3. Approval
Once approved, you can reserve a kitten. We want to ensure each kitten goes to a home that suits its needs.

4. Deposit & Contract
A deposit secures your kitten. We will send the contract and all paperwork for review.

5. Pickup
Kittens go home around 13-14 weeks. Pickup day includes your goodie bag, carrier, and all paperwork.

- Why KittyPurfection?
- At KittyPurfection we love cats and care about the breed! Our goal is to help preserve the Maine Coon breed while taking steps to minimize any potential health risks.
- What is included in the cost of a KittyPurfection kitten?
- A healthy, well-socialized kitten who has been raised with dogs and children, plus all of the items listed above.
- Do you health test your cats?
- Yes! All our cats have: tested negative for FIV/FelV; clear echocardiograms (scanned annually); undergone genetic testing with clear results for over 50 genetic disorders; and hip evaluations are done on our cats over 2.
- At what age do your kittens leave for their homes?
- Our kittens are ready for their forever homes around 13-14 weeks. Maine Coons mature slower than other cats. This timeframe ensures proper socialization, time to learn from littermates, and allows for immune system development. Spay/neuter surgery is typically done around 12-13 weeks, and we care for and monitor the babies for the first few days or week. It's in the best interest of our kittens.
- Do you sell breeding rights?
- No, we do not sell breeding rights. There may be a select few breeders we choose to work with in the future — established, registered catteries who do proper health testing and whose values, goals, and morals align with ours.
- Do you have a waitlist?
- No, we do not keep a waitlist. Our kittens become available for reservation around 6-8 weeks. If interested, filling out the application is the first step (although we cannot guarantee the exact kitten will still be available).
