Hi, I'm Alex.
My love for cats came long before the cattery.
What began with giving overlooked shelter cats a loving home grew into a life devoted to Maine Coons—and to raising each kitten with the care I would want for one of my own.

How it began
Before the pedigrees, there were black shelter cats.
Helping cats who had been overlooked taught me that every animal deserves to be seen, understood, and deeply loved. That belief still sits at the center of everything I do.

A heart for the overlooked
Long before KittyPurfection, I spent my time adopting black cats from shelters. Learning how often they were passed over because of their color made me want to be part of changing their story.

One gentle giant changed everything
My path shifted when I imported my first Maine Coon from Russia. I fell in love with the breed’s sweet nature, remarkable intelligence, and unforgettable beauty—and knew I had found the cats I wanted to devote myself to.

That love grew into a commitment to keep learning: the breed’s history, genetics, health, temperament, and responsible breeding practices. There is always more to understand, and every lesson helps me care for my cats better.
